This fall we're launching a new series of advocacy handouts called Spotlight on Missouri Public Schools. These handouts provide facts and figures about our state's schools in a quick, easy-to-read format. We hope they'll create a shared understanding about Missouri's public education system and that they'll be a useful tool for public school advocates in conversations with local and state elected leaders. The first two handouts can be viewed or downloaded from our research page. More to come soon!

One of MPEF's main strategic priorities is to produce original research about Missouri schools. We are excited to announce the publication of our paper, "Assessing Permanent School Closures: A Conceptual Framework," as an EdWorking Paper through the Annenberg Institute at Brown University. This paper outlines a conceptual framework for researchers who study school closures and policy makers who may be faced with these difficult decisions.
You can view or download the paper here.
